Can you hold a place before I apply?
In order to hold a home, the application must be completed and approved. -
Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?
We require the security deposit, a $100 administrative fee, and your pro-rated rent at time of move-in based on approved credit. -
How old do you have to be to apply?
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. -
Is the deposit refundable?
The deposit is refundable minus damages at move-out. -
Who needs a cosigner?
A co-signer may be necessary depending on credit or income. -
You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
You can apply through the website by clicking on the property you are interested in and following the prompts. -
How do I pay rent?
Once approved, you’ll be invited to the tenant portal where you’ll have several options including submitting maintenance requests and paying your rent. -
I want to get a pet. What do I do?
Let Starlight Property Management know and ensure your property allows the type of pet you want to get. Register the pet and pay the required deposit and pet rent. -
I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?
As long as your roommate can qualify on their own and agrees to release you from the lease, please notify the office for updated paperwork to allow this situation. -
My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?
Please provide at least a 60 day notice of intent to vacate prior to the end of your lease contract. Notice periods that extend past the lease expiration could be subject to a $200 plus market upcharge month to month fee prorated for the remaining days. -
Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?
For routine wear and tear, the owner will bear the cost of maintenance. For tenant caused maintenance issues (toy clogging the toilet, HVAC stops cooling due to air filters not being replaced, window broken by tenant for example) the tenant would be responsible. Please refer to your lease contract or reach out to management for specific situations.
